POSITION OVERVIEW
The role of a Senior Project Engineer is paramount, as a key liaison between various stakeholders, they excel in communication, negotiation and stakeholder management, fostering collaborative relationships that underpin project success. The Site Engineer is not only a problem solver but also a proactive advocate for continuous improvement, implementing innovative solutions and leveraging technology to enhance project efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design & Coordination: Review design and shop drawings, resolve potential issues, and coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants.
- Project Planning & Scheduling: Develop and manage work programs, monitor schedules, and oversee trade packages from start to finish.
- Quality Control: Implement and oversee quality assurance processes, ensuring work meets high construction standards.
- Procurement & Cost Management: Track labour and material costs, manage procurement, and ensure timely delivery of project materials.
- Health, Safety & Compliance: Conduct safety inspections, review SWMS, manage site safety, and ensure WHS compliance.
- Leadership & Development: Supervise and mentor site teams, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
- Document & Contract Management: Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
- Problem-Solving & Conflict Resolution: Identify and resolve construction-related challenges, ensuring smooth project execution.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor of Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Project Management or equivalent.
- A minimum of 5 years' hands-on experience in the commercial construction industry.
- Understand construction methodologies and the practicalities of project implementation, including site documentation, construction process and project sequencing.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with relevant stakeholders, fostering a culture of collaboration and trust that supports successful negotiations.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines effectively while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail and quality.
