**About the role:
Capecare is seeking an experienced Head Chef** to lead our hospitality team in providing exceptional meal services to residents at our 110-bed, Busselton facility.
Reporting directly to the Hospitality Services Manager, you'll craft nutritious, high-quality meals tailored to the unique dietary, cultural, and medical needs of our residents, enhancing their wellbeing through delicious, safe, and personalised dining experiences. You'll lead daily operations, uphold top food safety standards, manage stock and budgets, and foster a positive team culture.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Head Chef who is seeking a greater work-life balance, with a full-time, Sunday - Thursday, 9 am – 5 pm roster and minimal after-hours requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional food services to residents while ensuring a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.
 - Responsible for overseeing key compliance activities related to food safety, workplace health and safety, and quality standards.
 - Manage stock control and kitchen supplies.
 - Oversee dietary management to ensure meals meet residents' needs and requirements.
 - Manage food and kitchen costs, ensuring efficient use of resources.
 - Provide leadership, training, guidance, and support to kitchen staff, ensuring smooth kitchen operations.

About You:
- Previous experience as a Catering Manager or Head Chef.
 - Experience in an Aged Care setting is desirable but not essential.
 - Strong people management experience, including recruitment, performance management, and rostering.
 - Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualifications.
 - Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety practices in line with aged care standards.
 - Familiar with diverse dietary needs, especially those of the elderly.
 - Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team within a fast-paced environment.
