What you'll be doing

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to carry out required work
  • Operate a variety of manual and automated metalworking machines such as lathes, mills and borers
  • Carry out, fault diagnosis, and corrective actions on various components.
  • Fabricate and modify parts and components to meet specific requirements
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to identify and implement process improvements
  • Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used
  • Ensure a safe work environment and comply with all relevant health and safety regulations

What we are looking for

  • Relevant trade qualifications, certifications or related discipline
  • Experience with CNC machining, manual machining and fitting
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and schematics
  • Knowledge of repair and maintenance techniques for hydraulic cylinders and components
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and trouble shoot equipment issues
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
