Location: Hillsdale, NSW (with occasional travel across Sydney and Greater Sydney)

The Role:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Stonemason with expertise in bank masonry (carving, engraving, and shaping stone) to join our team immediately. The successful candidate will work primarily at our Hillsdale factory and occasionally travel to project sites to install sandstone blocks, cladding, and custom features as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carve, engrave, and shape sandstone using traditional and modern techniques.
  • Install stone blocks, cladding, and structural elements to precise specifications.
  • Interpret architectural plans and collaborate with project teams.
  • Ensure quality control and adherence to safety standards.
  • Travel to project sites across Sydney as required.

Essential Requirements:

  • Accredited stonemason qualification (certification/diploma or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in banking masonry, particularly with sandstone.
  • Ability to install stonework (blocks/cladding) and work independently, however majority of the time you will always be working in a team of 2-3 persons.
  • Own hand tools and power tools are preferred but are not a requirement.
  • Fluent English with strong communication skills.
  • Flexibility to travel.
  • Immediate availability to start.

Highly Regarded:

  • Applicants from England, Scotland, or Ireland (with training/experience in traditional stonework).
  • Experience in heritage restoration or bespoke stone projects.
