About the opportunity

We are a boutique Financial Planning/Mortgage Broking business. We are a small, friendly team that are committed to assisting our clients to achieve brighter futures. We provide personal financial planning advice helping clients from all stages of life - with superannuation, personal insurance, investments, retirement and age care advice. There is lots of variety.

The Financial Planning Assistant will play a critical role in our business – providing support across the business in many keyways. This is a great opportunity for someone to build on their existing Financial Planning experience, and you will be well-supported to further develop your Financial Planning knowledge.

It's fast paced and busy – but the office is friendly and close-knit. We find time for laughs.

In this position you can expect to

  • Greet clients and undertake general office admin duties
  • Schedule client meetings and prepare for those meetings (ensuring completeness and accuracy of documents)
  • Liaise with clients and other industry product providers – super funds, insurers, platforms
  • Create and maintaining accurate records
  • Assist with the development of client reports.
  • Implement client advice, including follow ups with product providers – rollovers, investment switches, insurance applications, retirement (we are a full-service practice)

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience of 1 - 2 years within the Financial Planning industry.
  • Knowledgeable of financial planning concepts.
  • Experience using Financial Planning software (Xplan preferred) and Platforms (i.e. Macquarie, Hub24)
  • Excellent customer service skills
