About the role
As the Early Career Programs Coordinator, you'll play a strategic role in shaping Legal Aid NSW's future workforce by delivering high-quality graduate, internship, and student programs. This role is ideal for someone passionate about talent development and stakeholder engagement.
In this role, you will:
- Design and implement early career programs that align with Legal Aid NSW's strategic Workforce Plan.
- Collaborate with universities, employment providers, and the Public Service Commission to attract and engage high-potential candidates.
- Work closely with Talent Acquisition Business Partners to support recruitment campaigns, assessment processes, and hiring activities.
- Coordinate onboarding, rotations, and development activities, ensuring a positive and enriching experience for program participants.
- Lead program planning, stakeholder engagement, and evaluation, driving continuous improvement and long-term success.
This role is central to building a strong pipeline of future talent and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the careers of emerging legal professionals and the legal sector.

You're a confident and strategic professional with a strong understanding of workforce planning and talent development. You excel at building relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels, navigating diverse perspectives to gain buy-in and deliver shared outcomes.
Your ability to manage complex projects and competing priorities ensures programs are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard. You bring sound judgement, clear communication, and a collaborative mindset to every challenge, and are motivated by the opportunity to shape meaningful career pathways for emerging talent.

The essential requirements for this role
You must:
- be willing to do a Criminal Record Check
- hold Australian or NZ citizenship, Australian Permanent Residency (for ongoing vacancies) or a valid visa to work in Australia (for temporary vacancies)
