Senior Golang Engineer – 6 Month Contract (Sydney CBD / Hybrid)

I'm hiring for a 6-month contract with an online business whose entire platform is built in
Go
. This team supports millions of customers at scale, so we're looking for experienced
Senior Golang Engineers
who can hit the ground running.

The key is
hands-on Go experience
— if you haven't been coding in Go daily, this won't be the right fit. We also need solid
dbt
experience in production environments.

Tech stack:
Go, dbt, AWS, IaC

Day-to-day you'll be:

  • Building and maintaining high-scale Go services that support millions of users
  • Working across backend engineering and DevOps teams to solve problems and improve systems
  • Designing and delivering solutions that are robust, efficient, and future-proof
  • Collaborating with product owners to refine and deliver features
  • Using
    dbt
    for data transformations and integrations within the platform

What we're looking for:

  • Strong commercial experience coding in
    Go (daily, production-level)
  • Experience with
    dbt
    (core or cloud) in a live environment
  • Solid exposure to large-scale systems, cloud infra (AWS), and CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work collaboratively across teams

Day rates are negotiable depending on experience.
