SCIG has a great deal more to offer, as a multi-disciplined service provider, we sell, maintain and service Construction Equipment, Farm Machinery, Tractors, Trucks, and ancillary equipment.

We are looking to secure the services of an experienced & qualified Diesel Mechanic - Truck Mechanic - Tractor Mechanic to help service, repair and maintain our customers machinery and heavy and light vehicle fleet in our brand-new Mackay workshop.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

· Servicing, repairs, and diagnostic work of our Construction equipment, Tractors, Truck & Highway Trucks

· Mentor and coach assigned apprentices

· Accurate paperwork and maintenance of records

· Completing work to a high standard

· Assist in developing fleet maintenance history

· Work autonomously and unsupervised

· Follow company policies, procedures, and safe work practices

Skills & Qualifications

· Strong commitment to health and safety

· Trade Qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or Diesel Fitter (preferred)

· Experience with highway trucks advantageous

· Experience with maintenance and servicing of variety of truck models – Hino, Isuzu, Sitrak, Fuso.

· Experience with Vac Truck and civil equipment maintenance will be highly regarded

· New Holland, Case, John Deere, Kubota, Massey Ferguson tractor and equipment experience desirable

· Good knowledge of basic hydraulic and electrical systems

· HR licence essential
