5AAB PTY LTD is seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join our team. What We're Looking For:

- Relevant trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic
- Minimum years' experience working as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably in the heavy vehicle industry
- Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct scheduled and preventative maintenance on diesel trucks, trailers, and other heavy equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues across the fleet
- Liaise with the Fleet Manager to prioritize and action repair requirements
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work
- Ensure all work is carried out to the highest safety and quality standards
- Support the training and development of junior mechanics as required
- Trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic
- Unrestricted Australian Working Rights
- Demonstrated experience working on heavy diesel machinery
- Experience working in Heavy Road Transport
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems
- Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools as well as workshop equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Commitment to workplace safety
- Computer and Digital Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications. Experience using tablets and similar devices for issuing reports and technical information to Head Office and the Operational Team on site.
