Role:Domestic Assistant

Position:  Casual

Location:  Junee, Coolamon, Ganmain, Wagga, Ariah Park and surrounding

Rate: $36-$38 per hour

About the Role:

This is an ideal role for those wanting a little extra income or side hustle and helping the community out at the same time.  You will be working regularly with 3 - 8 clients, in their homes, from 30min to 2.5hrs per visit, providing domestic assistance, completing duties such as:

  • Meal preparation (not complete food service)
  • Vacuuming and Mopping
  • Light house cleaning
  • Dishwashing
  • Clothes and linen, washing and ironing.
  • Bed making.
  • Internal window cleaning
  • Unaccompanied shopping & bill paying

Clients like routine and get comfort out of seeing the same people at the same time, so you will be assigned specific clients, and providing the services at the same time either on a weekly or fortnightly rotation. Reliability is KEY.

Clients prefer their services between the hours of 8:30am - 4:00pm Monday to Friday, so the successful applicant must be available to pick up shifts during those hours. For flexibility, you must be available at least two to three days a week.

About you:

  • Have a passion for caring for others.
  • Be professional, polite, and honest.
  • Able to work independently and be dependable, punctual, and efficient.
  • Capacity to perform personal home care tasks satisfactorily and within guidelines.
  • Ability to follow a care plan and task list for each client.
  • Due to the personal care needs of the clients, this role requires a female support worker in accordance with the Sex Discrimination Act 1984 (Cth), Section 30.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Australian Criminal History Check no more than 6 months old.
  • Proof of Vaccination (COVID)
  • Full drivers' license
  • Clean, Reliable and insured car, and knowledge of the local area.
