ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking Aged Care Employees to work across our aged care facility St Agnes' Residential Care supporting with kitchen and cleaning services.

As an Aged Care Employee – Kitchen & Cleaning, you'll play an important part in creating a safe, comfortable and welcoming home for our residents. Depending on your roster, your duties may include:

  • Kitchen support - Assisting with meal preparation, plating and serving, presenting food in a hygienic and attractive way. Checking deliveries and helping maintain stock, all while following HACCP & food safety standards.
  • Cleaning support - Carrying out regular cleaning of resident rooms, facilities and shared areas. Maintaining cleaning equipment and ensuring infection control standards are met.

The position will be offered on a casual basis and require flexibility to be able to work a range of shifts during the week and weekends.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Ideally you have experience in a kitchen and/or hold a certificate in food services - desirable.
  • Experience in a cleaning role, within an aged care or home care environment (Preferred)
  • Knowledge and experience in safe handling of chemical handling (Preferred)
  • Flexibility to be able to work a range of shifts during the week and weekends
  • The ability to self-manage your day – excellent time management and prioritisation skills required
  • An energetic, positive attitude with a genuine interest in and compassion for aged people
  • A strength and desire to work as part of a collaborative team and the ability to work independently
  • Able to follow procedures, instructions and work systems
  • Intermediate computer skills and/or open to learning new technology
  • A commitment to ongoing learning and development
  • Commitment to work in harmony with Catholic Values and Principles
