Client is a specialist construction consultancy offering variety of end to end professional construction services across project management and quantity surveying. As result of continued growth, they are looking to hire a QS and / or PM to join the team.
Your new role
The role is a traditional client-side role. It will involve working alongside the Director but still managing own workload. Projects are mix of multi-res, aged care, hospitality, plus some government panel work in health and education.
Role will be mix of traditional PQS and client-side project management work. Helping asset owners and developers to deliver a variety of construction projects from inception right to through to acting as a Supers Rep managing contractors to completion.
The role is client facing, so requires an effective positive, proactive communication style.
What you'll need to succeed
The client is looking for mid-level resource to fit in with future planning of the business. Suggest somewhere between 3- and 7-years' experience ideal, but with some flexibility. The role will involve delivering some projects yourself while working to support PD on larger more complicated and higher value projects.
Candidates ideally from a client-side (PQS or PM) environment (with tertiary qualification in either quantity surveying or construction management) or be from a main contractor with some experience or pre and post contract work.
The client is still boutique, so looking for someone that is engaged, hardworking and passionate about helping grow the business by exceeding clients' expectations. They need someone with a practical and common-sense mindset. Able to find a solution to complicated problems and with a willingness to get stuck ion with tasks that might be outside comfort zone if required to help the other teams' members as required.
