Civil Maintenance Labourer Operator

The Opportunity

We have an opportunity in our Infrastructure & Works team as a Civil Works Labourer/Operator – Roadside Maintenance. In this role you will undertake general labouring duties, operate mowing equipment (including tractors) and drive/operate various trucks (up to and including medium rigid rating) to assist in the maintenance, and renewal of Council roadside infrastructure (signs, guideposts & drains).

You will maintain and clean items of plant, and undertake daily plant checks, ensuring to report any defects, malfunctions or repair work necessary. Importantly, you will undertake your work tasks in a safe manner and ensure quality workmanship.

About You

To be successful in this role you will possess knowledge and experience in civil works, maintenance works, or horticulture.

You will also have strong problem-solving skills, and an ability to work productively as a team member.

To be considered for the role, a current driver's licence and WHS General Construction Induction (White Card)

is essential.

Having the following licences/tickets is not essential, but would be highly regarded:

• Traffic Control
• MR Driver's Licence
• Chemuse and Chainsaw Operations certification

Benefits

This is a permanent full-time role working 76 hours across a 9-day fortnight with a salary range of $58,378 - $64,689 per year (inclusive of adverse working condition allowance) + 12% p.a. super. Work hours are currently 6:45am – 3:45pm, as per current 9-day fortnight arrangement.
