Proclinical is seeking an
Manufacturing & Utilities Operational Readiness Lead
to join our client, a global Biopharmaceutical leader renowned for its innovation and commitment to delivering medicines that improve and save lives. At their Broadmeadows site, they manufacture life-saving plasma-derived medicines. This role will play a critical part in supporting the successful delivery and handover of Tier 2 projects across the site.

Role Overview

Reporting to the M&U Operational Readiness Lead within Engineering Services, this position will ensure that all readiness activities for Tier 2 projects are planned, executed, and embedded into site operations. The role involves working closely with engineering teams, project stakeholders, and operations to ensure smooth installation, qualification, and transition to business-as-usual.

Team Size:
6 core team members, with collaboration across multiple project engineers

Duration:
12-month contract (likely extension)

Start Date:
ASAP

Hours:
Mon–Fri, standard business hours (no overtime required)

Capacity:
Primarily onsite at Broadmeadows, with occasional work from home flexibility

Role Responsibilities

  • Assist with delivery of all Tier 2 projects approved for the year.
  • Contribute to the design process and support installation, qualification, and handover activities.
  • Review new assets and load into site systems.
  • Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to capture and align project information.
  • Establish and configure maintenance activities in SAP.
  • Support major projects such as:
  • HVLV site infrastructure upgrade
  • Treatment plant upgrade
  • PMCS replacement
  • Broader engineering and utilities projects

Skills and Experience

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or a related discipline, eligible for professional membership of the Institute of Engineers.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in
    Maintenance or Process Engineering
    .
  • Exposure to
    capital projects
    and/or
    pharmaceutical manufacturing (cGxP systems)
    highly regarded.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance systems (SAP preferred).
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Pharma/regulated industry background advantageous.
