Description
The Maintenance Electrician will be responsible for servicing and repairing a range of production and packaging machinery, including sealing lines, weighers, labelling systems, and cooking equipment. Duties include:

  • Conducting preventative maintenance to reduce downtime
  • Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults quickly and effectively
  • Supporting machinery installations, upgrades, and commissioning
  • Ensuring all work complies with safety regulations and electrical standards
  • Collaborating with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability
  • Maintaining accurate records of work performed and parts used

Profile
The Successful Maintenance Electrician will bring a strong technical foundation and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Key requirements include:

  • Must have Electrical Licence - mandatory***
  • Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments - food industry experience is highly regarded
  • Proficiency in PLCs, automation, and control systems - ability to troubleshoot and optimise performance
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics - crucial for diagnosing and repairing faults
  • Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills - especially under time pressure
  • Understanding of HACCP, GMP, and food safety standards - preferred but not mandatory
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills - working closely with cross-functional teams
  • Attention to detail and a safety-first mindset - ensuring compliance and reliability
