RCS are seeking a reliable and empathetic Support Workers to join our team in a Supported Independent Living (SIL) house in Mango Hill. You will be providing personalised care to a participant who has suffered a stroke and requires assistance with daily activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Manual Handling: Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort.
  • Personal Care: Help with personal hygiene, including showering and toileting.
  • Domestic Assistance: Support with household tasks including cleaning, cooking, and laundry.
  • Community Access: Accompany the participant to appointments, social activities, and outings within the community.

Requirements:

  • Experience in providing personal care, especially for individuals with physical disabilities or stroke recovery.
  • Manual handling training (or willingness to undergo training).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine commitment to enhancing the lives of people with disabilities.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Blue card
  • Drivers licence and own vehicle
