About the role

Join our team at Alabaster Contracting as a Casual Excavator Operator in Caloundra, QLD. As an Excavator Operator, you will play a vital role in our construction projects, operating heavy machinery to carry out essential earthworks and site preparation. This is a casual position.

What you'll be doing

  • Operate excavators to carry out a range of earthworks, such as digging trenches, loading trucks, and site levelling
  • Ensure machines are well-maintained and operated safely and efficiently
  • Work collaboratively with the wider construction team to meet project deadlines and targets
  • Identify and report any issues or concerns with equipment or site conditions
  • Adhere to all health, safety and environmental regulations on site

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as an Excavator Operator in the construction industry
  • Relevant plant/machinery operation qualifications or licences
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the wider construction crew
  • Ability to work safely and responsibly, with a keen eye for detail
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing site conditions and project requirements
