A fantastic opportunity is now available for a Workshop Controller to join our friendly and supportive team in the Volkswagen Service Department located in Kedron.


About the Role

As a Workshop Controller, you'll play a vital role in the efficient day-to-day operation of our service department. You'll be responsible for managing workflow through the workshop, ensuring timely repairs and exceptional service delivery.

We're looking for someone with at least 2 years of experience in an automotive service department, strong organisational skills, and a commitment to delivering a high standard of customer service. Previous workshop controller experience is highly regarded but not essential.


Key Responsibilities

  • Allocate and manage daily work schedules in the workshop
  • Monitor job progress and resolve delays or carryovers effectively
  • Communicate clearly between the workshop and service advisors/frontline staff
  • Process all service paperwork accurately and on time
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturer warranty guidelines
  • Support NPS targets through excellent service delivery
  • Prepare and review labour and parts quotes efficiently
  • Uphold dealership and manufacturer standards and procedures

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years' experience in a dealership service department
  • Prior workshop controller experience (advantageous but not essential)
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • A proactive, team-oriented attitude
  • Strong communication skills – both in-person and over the phone
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • A current Australian driver's licence
  • Unrestricted right to work in Australia
  • Experience with Volkswagen, Skoda, Audi vehicles is highly desirable
