A fantastic opportunity is now available for a Workshop Controller to join our friendly and supportive team in the Volkswagen Service Department located in Kedron.
About the Role
As a Workshop Controller, you'll play a vital role in the efficient day-to-day operation of our service department. You'll be responsible for managing workflow through the workshop, ensuring timely repairs and exceptional service delivery.
We're looking for someone with at least 2 years of experience in an automotive service department, strong organisational skills, and a commitment to delivering a high standard of customer service. Previous workshop controller experience is highly regarded but not essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Allocate and manage daily work schedules in the workshop
- Monitor job progress and resolve delays or carryovers effectively
- Communicate clearly between the workshop and service advisors/frontline staff
- Process all service paperwork accurately and on time
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer warranty guidelines
- Support NPS targets through excellent service delivery
- Prepare and review labour and parts quotes efficiently
- Uphold dealership and manufacturer standards and procedures
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years' experience in a dealership service department
- Prior workshop controller experience (advantageous but not essential)
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- A proactive, team-oriented attitude
- Strong communication skills – both in-person and over the phone
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- A current Australian driver's licence
- Unrestricted right to work in Australia
- Experience with Volkswagen, Skoda, Audi vehicles is highly desirable
