The Role

You will oversee and optimise all aspects of warehouse and supply chain operations, ensuring efficient workflows, timely deliveries, and best-in-class inventory control.

This role requires a strong leader who can drive operational improvements, manage supplier and courier relationships, and foster a high-performing team culture that prioritises safety, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and optimise warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, packing, and dispatch.
  • Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, including supplier coordination, third-party courier contracts, and company-owned truck operations.
  • Drive efficiency through process improvements, SOP development, and system utilisation (ERP/WMS).
  • Monitor and resolve delivery and inventory issues, supporting customer service with urgent requests.
  • Maintain accurate inventory control via cycle counts, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Optimise warehouse layout, racking, and space utilisation for growth and seasonal demand.
  • Ensure compliance with OH&S standards and company safety policies.
  • Conduct regular audits, training, and risk assessments.
  • Lead, train, and roster warehouse and logistics teams to deliver high productivity and service levels.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Analyse KPIs (order accuracy, delivery performance, warehouse efficiency) and report regularly to senior management.

Required Experience

  • 5+ years' experience in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain management (retail or furniture industry preferred).
  • Proven track record managing both in-house logistics teams and third-party courier relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP/WMS systems and ability to drive system improvements.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing operational processes and SOPs.
  • Leadership capability with experience coaching and managing teams of 10+ staff.
  • Solid understanding of inventory control, stock planning, and space optimisation.
  • Familiarity with OH&S requirements and safety management in warehouse settings.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data to drive efficiency.
