Melbourne, Victoria, Australia Curve Accountants Full time $90,000 - $120,000 per year

At Curve we act as accountants, financial advisers and tax agents to clients predominantly working in the health sector. We have an experienced and dedicated team of professional and qualified staff working to help our clients improve their businesses, build wealth and meet their statutory compliance obligations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of financial statements, tax returns for various entity types including trusts, partnerships, individuals and SMSF's.
  • Providing advice on taxation matters and providing recommendations on business structures where required.
  • Providing business advisory services to an allocated set of clients;
  • Preparing all relevant activity statements relating to GST and payroll for all allocated clients.
  • Communicating and coordinating with clients and ATO regarding relevant matters as and when required.
  • Training clients on use of accounting software and onboard clients onto the preferred accounting software where applicable including recommending any relevant

You will have:

  • Bachelor's degree or Higher in Accounting
  • Commenced or completed CA/CPA Program.
  • 3+ years' experience within Business Services division of a small to medium-sized public practice. Experience dealing with medical professionals will be highly regarded but not essential.
  • Experience in preparing financial statements and tax returns, associated work-papers and other tax compliance work such as BAS, CGT, accounting and ad hoc tax and accounting advice
  • Experience in dealing with personal services and high-income earning individuals will be highly regarded
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work within strict deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Intermediate to Advanced experience & proficiency with XERO, QUICKBOOKS and MYOB
