About the role

This full-time Planner role at Tarong Power Stations (TPS) offers a unique opportunity to lead the development and delivery of short- and long-term maintenance work plans. You'll work closely with the outage delivery team, engineering, and operations to ensure tasks are well-prepared and resourced—whether planned or reactive. With a flexible four-day work week and the autonomy to manage your own workload, this role is ideal for someone with mechanical or planning experience who thrives in a collaborative, high-impact environment.

Key activities include:

  • Develop and communicate accurate work plans for maintenance tasks
  • Prepare detailed work packages with scopes, drawings, and forecasts
  • Coordinate both planned outages and urgent reactive maintenance
  • Provide regular reports on job plans and suggest improvements
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure plans meet operational needs
  • Guide and align other planners to ensure consistent processes

About You:

  • You hold a relevant trade qualification, ideally in mechanical engineering
  • You bring experience in heavy industry or power station environments
  • You're confident using CMMS tools like ELLIPSE and other planning systems
  • You excel at building relationships across engineering and operations teams
  • You're organised, proactive, and thrive on solving complex problems
  • You're a natural mentor, helping others improve planning and delivery
