Melbourne, Victoria, Australia Cirql Full time $120,000 - $180,000 per year

The Company

At Cirql, we don't focus on industry specifics - our core specialisation is partnering with middle-market organisations that are experiencing change. This client is the perfect example of that, an established and high-growth consumer brand proactively structuring its financial control systems, processes and capability for the next wave of expansion.

With a strong market presence and a drive for innovation, they are entering a significant period of investment and operational optimisation. Backed by a passionate leadership team, the business is focused on building a scalable and efficient foundation to support its ambitious future. The culture is fast-paced, collaborative, and results-oriented, offering a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact within a household name. This is a business defined by its energy, ambition, and commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.

The Opportunity

This is a pivotal, high-impact role designed to shape the future of their finance function. As the Senior Finance Manager - Projects and Transformation, you will dedicate your expertise to leading a portfolio of critical, high-visibility projects. This is a rare opportunity to act as the key subject matter expert, driving significant process and systems enhancements within a large-scale ERP environment. You will be empowered to challenge the status quo, champion best practices, and deliver improvements that will resonate across the entire business.

Your New Role

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, your core focus will be on bridging the gap between finance and technology to translate business needs into effective, system-based solutions.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Process Re-engineering: Leading a comprehensive review of core accounting functions, including but not limited to Fixed Assets, Depreciation, Cost Allocations, and Accounts Payable, to move from manual, Excel-based tasks to a streamlined, simplified function.
  • Systems Enhancement: Driving the strategic adoption of ERP modules to enable multi-faceted management and financial reporting, overseeing data migration, validation, and financial modelling.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Acting as the primary liaison between Finance, IT, and external ERP consultants, translating complex accounting requirements into technical specifications.
  • Project Delivery: Developing comprehensive project documentation, including process maps and work instructions, and creating clear frameworks for change management to ensure successful adoption.

About You

You are a CA/CPA qualified accountant with a natural aptitude for systems and a passion for continuous improvement. You thrive in a project-based environment and possess the commercial acumen to see beyond the numbers and understand their operational impact.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A proven track record of acting as a Finance SME on large-scale transformation projects.
  • Deep expertise in core accounting concepts, particularly in group environments with multiple sites.
  • Advanced proficiency with a Tier 1 ERP system (SAP ECC6 or FI/CO is highly advantageous, but not required).
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to manage senior stakeholders.
  • A proactive, autonomous, and strategic mindset.

What's On Offer

  • A high-visibility role with exposure to key senior stakeholders across one of Australia's largest consumer businesses.
  • A broad role with genuine opportunities for career progression, personal development, and mentoring.
  • A supportive and inclusive culture that rewards initiative and creativity.
  • A hybrid working model to support life outside of work.
  • Excellent benefits, including generous employee discounts, EAP, gym membership discounts, and more.

If you are ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role where you can make a significant impact, we would love to hear from you.

Not sure if you meet these requirements? Please apply - we are happy to discuss your individual circumstances.
