  • Provide staff with the support, information and expertise required to effectively meet their respective responsibilities
  • Assume responsibility for the development and implementation of administrative and information systems and the development, maintenance and implementation of the Policies and Procedures Manual
  • Communicate respectfully with all individuals, including clients, representatives, staff, volunteers, and members of the community
  • Lead and coordinate service delivery by developing policies, overseeing operations, and ensuring client needs are regularly reviewed and met.
  • Maintain compliance and accountability through accurate data management and timely submission of reports to regulatory bodies.
  • Advise and support the Management Committee on staffing and volunteer matters, ensuring clear procedures, contracts, and role descriptions are in place and maintained.
  • Oversee staff and volunteer performance by ensuring legal entitlements, supervision, training, support, and regular appraisals are provided.
  • Promote a safe and effective work environment through compliance with safety standards and the implementation of structured volunteer recruitment and assessment programs.
  • Promote and represent the service to government bodies, community agencies, and the wider public in collaboration with the Management Committee.
What you'll need to succeed
  • Previous experience in a coordinator role in community care is highly desirable.
  • Ability and willingness to work collaboratively with the Management Committee
  • A current NSW driver's Licence
  • Demonstrate a high level of understanding of MYOB and other relevant software
  • Knowledge of relevant community resources
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A strong commitment to working with the aged and people with disabilities
  • Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one
