Position: Operator Recreation Facilities
Location: Gunnedah NSW
Salary: $55,156 - $63,965 + Superannuation & Other Benefits
(Salary determined on current skills, qualifications and experience, with the opportunity to progress once essential qualifications have been obtained).
Contract Type: Full Time, 38 hours per week

We are currently seeking a dedicated Operator Recreation Facilities Attendant to join our team
Role Overview:
As Operator Recreation Facilities Attendant, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our parks, gardens, and recreational areas. Your work will directly contribute to the beautification and functionality of these public spaces, ensuring they remain accessible and enjoyable for all residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain assigned plant effectively, safely and in accordance with standing operating procedures.
- Ensure compliance with Council's WHS policies and with legislative requirements or regulations.
- Accurately perform general mowing maintenance operational works required to maintain Council's parks and reserves. This would include but not be limited to; the operation of mowers, small plant and hand tools, and applying basic grounds maintenance principles, systems and processes.
- Work Constructively and cooperatively with other members of the department to complete work programs in accordance with agreed timeframes and standards.
- Apply WHS and risk management systems in accordance with Council's polices and procedures.
- Complete assigned administrative tasks accurately and accordance with Council's polices and procedures.
- Maintain required qualifications essential for the position and undertake agreed training to meet the position's desired skill level.
- Participate in on-call duties as required.
Key Requirements:
- An appropriate Cert 3 qualification or willingness undertake professional development, or 3 years' experience in a relevant field.
- Drivers licence HR or willing to obtain.
- WHS Construction Induction Certificate.
