The Company:

Macfarlane Generators located in NSW, VIC AND QLD has been in business since 1949. We specialise in the supply, installation, hire, service and repairs of new and used generator sets for industrial, commercial, domestic and recreational applications. Our NSW office based in Seven Hills is in need of an experienced Diesel, Petrol and Small Engine Mechanics, specialising in the servicing, repairs and installation of generators.

The Role:

Based out of our Seven Hills office, you will be an integral part of our workshop and field service team providing diagnosis to allow for repairs to our client's generators that range from 1kva to 2000kva. In addition to diagnosing and repairing generators you will also be assisting with load bank testing, black starts and the general upkeep of the workshop.

Key Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Servicing of generators

  • Fault finding, diagnosis and repairs to client's generators

  • Pre-sale Inspections and commissioning of portable and large generators

  • Maintenance of our hire service fleet and all company assets

  • Maintaining company records and keeping company documentation accurate

  • Working from 7.30am to 4pm, 5 days week (no weekends)

To be considered for the role you must meet the following requirements:

  • Trade qualifications and Licence (Contractor's licence)

  • Willingness to learn the product

  • Cleanliness in all aspects of work

  • Strong time management and organisational skills

  • Good written and verbal English skills

  • Own suitable hand tools

  • Driver's licence

  • Although generator experience would be advantageous it is not a requirement of the role

  • Basic computer skills

  • Flexible with a can-do attitude

  • The right to work in Australia
