Position Overview

The Local Marketing Activations & Sales (LMAS) Contractor for JETSET Pilates Glen Iris is responsible for driving local brand awareness and first-time visits through community-based marketing initiatives. This role focuses on executing in-person activations - such as partnerships, pop-up events, and local outreach - to connect JETSET with the surrounding neighborhood and generate new client leads. The contractor will bring the JETSET brand to life in the community, ensuring all initiatives align with brand standards and support studio growth goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Community Partnerships: Identify and activate partnerships with complementary local businesses (cafés, wellness brands, fitness studios, beauty salons, etc.) to increase brand visibility and generate new leads
• Event Execution: Plan, coordinate, and host community events such as pop-up classes, sampling events, open houses, and collaborations that drive first-time visits
• Brand Representation: Serve as an on-site brand ambassador at all activations, ensuring all materials and messaging are aligned with JETSET brand standards
• Local Sampling & Outreach: Distribute flyers, free class passes, and promotional materials within the Glen Iris trade area to build awareness and drive conversions
• Partnership Management: Track outreach, responses, and partnership opportunities in an organized system provided by the studio
• Reporting: Provide weekly recaps summarizing activities, leads generated, sales conversions, and performance metrics

What You Need To Be Successful

• A natural connector who loves building relationships and representing a premium lifestyle brand
• Super outgoing and confident — not afraid to put yourself out there, handle rejection, or keep the energy high even when people don't engage right away
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills — comfortable speaking with local business owners, potential clients, and event partners.An eye for brand and aesthetics; you understand what fits the JETSET look and vibe
• Organized and proactive with excellent follow-through on outreach and event execution
• Creative thinker who can generate fresh, local activation ideas that feel on-brand and impactful
• Comfortable working independently and managing time effectively
• Experience in marketing, events, partnerships, or community engagement (fitness, wellness, or hospitality preferred)
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to attend local events and meetings as needed

Travel & Onsite Requirements

• Contract Term: 3–6 months with potential extension
• Estimated Hours: 10–15 hours per week (flexible based on event calendar)
• Compensation: Hourly rate or project-based (to be determined based on experience and scope)
• Work Breakdown: Approximately 80% of time in the community (events, partnerships, outreach) and 20% in-studio (team collaboration, materials pick-up, briefings, recaps, or any in-studio activations)
