The Opportunity

We are looking to appoint an experienced 'hands on' professional Operations Manager who will ensure that all operational requirements and growth are executed effectively, efficiently and profitably.

Your prowess to drive our quality of sweeper services to our clients to meet and to exceed the expectations of both the customer and senior management while nurturing our business and financial targets to the next phase, will form a key part of your ongoing strategies.

The successful candidate will also have the drive for operational excellence and for enhancement of positive culture, enabled by the ability to collaborate with other departments to make this a reality.

A willingness and/or ability to get into a truck as needed or having mechanical experience in previous positions, will add to your success in this leader role.

The location of this permanent full-time position will be at our  Western Australia site located at Maddington and will report into, and support the State Manager, WA.

Key Responsibilities include:

Ensuring the WA Enviro Sweep operation is executed efficiently, and that the quality of service delivered to our clients continually meets or exceeds expectations

  • Driving revenue growth by exploring and maximising outcomes for all possible opportunities on a consistent and regular basis
  • Ensuring staff performance and approach is at a high standard which fits with the Group's team orientated ethos by contributing positively to a harmonious and safe working environment
  • Facilitating site-based employee onboarding and delivering 'one on one' training to new employees
  • Providing direction to operational employees in regard to essential deliverables and time management
  • Achieving adherence to appropriate Work, Health, and Safety standards

Strong operational management experience

  • Demonstrate a 'hands on' management style and lead from the front

  • Experience in fleet scheduling

  • Outstanding leadership and people management skills
  • Ability to motivate team members to reach desired outcomes
  • Capacity to work in a dynamic and challenging 24/7 environment
  • MR Licence
  • Strong planning, time management and self-management skills
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Collaborative approach and professionalism with a solution-based approach
  • Strong work ethic and a continuous improvement outlook

  • Ability to implement and manage site processes and directives consistently

  • Experience in related industries such as automotive or industrial operations,  waste services (desired)

  • Be able to pass a pre-employment medical assessment that includes Drug & Alcohol test
