The Opportunity

This is a rare chance to take ownership of projects from concept to completion as part of a high-performing Commercial & Industrial (C&I) team.

As the Electrical Project Engineer, you'll be responsible for delivering complete engineering solutions, from technical proposals and system design through to installation, commissioning, and testing.

You'll gain exposure to complex, high-impact projects in a supportive and innovative environment that values collaboration and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare complete engineering proposals for C&I energy projects.
  • Design power systems, switchboards, control panels, and process instrumentation.
  • Develop and assess grid protection and network integration solutions.
  • Produce detailed engineering documentation including single-line diagrams, MSB integration, and panel layouts.
  • Prepare detailed labour and materials estimates (MOQ).
  • Manage grid connection applications and ensure network compliance.
  • Coordinate site installation, commissioning, and testing activities.
  • Support standardisation and productisation of C&I battery storage solutions.
  • Contribute to PV and BESS project planning, scheduling, and delivery.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the engineering team.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Chartered or Professional Engineer registration advantageous).
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the C&I energy or renewable energy sector.
  • Proven track record in solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) design and implementation.
  • Strong understanding of the Australian energy and electrical markets.
  • Exposure to HV electrical design and documentation (highly regarded).
  • Skilled in AutoCAD or similar design tools.
  • Familiarity with NEM, AEMO, and NSP requirements.
  • Analytical thinker with experience interpreting energy generation and consumption data.
  • Knowledge of DA and planning requirements advantageous.
