i-LEC is a privately owned North Queensland business, based in Cairns and Townsville, specialising in electrical infrastructure projects including underground distribution (Ergon UDC), traffic signal/road lighting/ITS construction and maintenance, sports field lighting, as well as a diverse range of other industrial and commercial electrical and civil works.
i-LEC is the leading provider of electrical infrastructure works in Northern Queensland, delivering many substantial projects over the past 15 years. Our teams are highly skilled, with many long term employees committed to our great workplace environment.
Due to continued demand for our specialised services in the Cairns area, we currently have vacancies for electricians with excellent attention to detail and proven quality workmanship.
Experience in the delivery of electrical infrastructure projects including Ergon UDC, public lighting, ITS, and/or traffic signals is highly regarded, but not essential, as training will be provided. We will also consider newly qualified electricians, ready to grow their skills, work hard, and develop with our team.
We offer an attractive hourly rates, plus penalties & allowances, fully serviced take-home vehicle. Works are Cairns-based, and standard hours are 7:30am to 4pm Monday to Friday with overtime available at times.
The ideal candidate must:
- Hold a current Electrical Work Licence
- Be proficient in the AS3000 Electrical Wiring Rules
- Skilled in use of various mobile apps for data capture and retrieval
- Competent in testing and fault finding
- Hold a Safety Induction Card
- Have current CPR & LVR Certificate
- Current Qld manual drivers' licence
- Be of honest and reliable character
- Display good communication skills
- Be committed to long term permanent employment
- Be physically fit and enjoy working outdoors
