The role

This is an opportunity for an experienced Crushing & Screening Supervisor to join the team at Urban Resources' operations based at our workshop in Bibra Lake. As Crushing & Screening Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day maintenance requirements of the crushing and screening plant and technicians over a number of quarries and sites in and around the Perth Metro area.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervising the field technicians and sub-contractors, allocating their jobs and monitoring of their workload.
  • Liaising with site supervisors and managers with the maintenance & servicing of their mobile plant.
  • Scheduling work according to priority and to maintain an orderly flow of work.
  • Assist technicians in diagnosing faults and inspecting completed work to ensure satisfactory completion.
  • Issuing of Purchase Orders and Job numbers, sourcing parts in conjunction with the purchasing officer.
  • Verifying all technicians and sub-contractors paperwork and timesheets are correctly completed and approved.
  • Implementing and enforcing safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment
  • Regularly informing the Maintenance Manager of job statuses, outcomes, and of any equipment damage/abuse.

What we're looking for

  • Australian recognised Trade Certificate in Heavy Diesel, Mechanical, or related field with 5+ years post trade experience

  • Significant experience as a Crushing & Screening Supervisor or equivalent role in the mining industry.

  • Thorough knowledge of crushing and screening equipment servicing and maintenance.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team of plant operators
  • Strong verbal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and a proactive approach to risk management
  • Current White Card (Construction Induction) and mining safety inductions, or ability to obtain
