The Role
We are seeking compassionate and motivated Disability Support Workers to join our growing team. This role involves direct support to NDIS participants to enhance their daily lives and achieve their goals. You'll work in participants' homes or community settings, making a meaningful impact through personalized care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide assistance with daily living tasks (e.g., personal care, meal preparation, household duties).
- Support participants in community participation, social activities, and skill-building.
- Promote independence and choice in line with participants' NDIS plans.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with participants, families, and coordinators.
- Uphold the NDIS Code of Conduct and Kane Community Services' commitment to quality care.

Essential Requirements
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain before starting).
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, or equivalent (or currently studying in a related field).
- Valid Australian driver's license and access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates (or willingness to obtain).
- Working with Children Check
- Strong communication skills and a person-centred approach.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Desirable
- Experience in disability support or community services.
- Knowledge of NDIS frameworks and participant plans.
- Experience and qualification in implementing behaviour support plans
