15cenchi (@15cenchi_syd), known for our Gluten-free Basque cheesecakes, purins and other sweets, is expanding our business and product range. To continue delivering the best possible desserts to our customers, we are looking for Assistant Pastry Cooks / Kitchen Hands to join our central kitchen team in Lilyfield, Sydney .

Location: Central Kitchen in Lilyfield (5 minutes' walk from Leichhardt North)

Operating Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm or 8:00 am–4:30 pm (2–5 days per week, 30 min break included)

Shift Length: 4–8 hours per day, minimum 20 hours per week

Pay / Salary: Based on skills and experience (following Fair Work Ombudsman)

Key Responsibilities

  • Cleaning kitchen equipment, appliances, benches, floors and ovens
  • Receiving and storing food deliveries
  • Helping with basic food preparation
  • Assisting with production and product management
  • Quality control of products
  • Packing products
  • Disposing of rubbish

Extra Opporunity

  • Assisting logistic team with stock transfer between kitchen and the stores. (valid Australian Drivers License required)

Skills & Requirements

  • Previous hands-on experience as an Assistant Pastry Chef, Chef or Kitchen Hand
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Strong communication skills
  • Creativity and initiative

Please note: as our kitchen team includes both Japanese and non-Japanese staff, an intermediate level of English is required.
