
Administrative Officer

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Officer to join our team in a permanent full-time position.
As part of the Development Assessment and Compliance team, this role will put to use your administration experience to ensure a high level of customer service to the team and our internal and external clients.
The role lodges development applications, sub-division work certificates, strata applications and includes preparing the notices of determination for development applications and associated ancillary applications.
The position requires excellent organisation skills and an ability to prioritise a busy workload and manage conflicting tasks. You will have advanced attention to detail and excellent communication skills in order to build strong relationships and collaborations with our stakeholders.

This position is based in Murwillumbah and can be directed to work from any Council work site.

Essential:
TAFE certificate studies or equivalent.
Demonstrated competence in the use of word processing in the Windows environment including a high level of competence in the operation of Microsoft Word, the Microsoft Office package, Council's Record Management System, Proclaim and Finance 1.
Demonstrated competence in a wide range of administrative support activities to a range of professional officers.
Demonstrated well developed written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated capacity to manage workloads and competing priorities effectively.
Demonstrated capacity to work within a team environment.
Demonstrated meeting procedure skills.
Demonstrated ability to actively participate in the Division's administrative support team.
Desirable:
- Demonstrated competence in secretarial support at senior management level.
