A community-focused, enterprise-level organisation is seeking a Business Analyst for its ERP and Digital Domain department on an initial 12-month contract, with the possibility of extension.

Your new role

Working with the ERP team, you'll be responsible for undertaking and leading business analysis to deliver Information Communications and Technology (ICT) solutions for business problems in a dynamic, evolving environment. The objective is to ensure effective understanding, communication and translation of requirements between the business and ICT partners.

  • Analysing and documenting business processes, workflows, and requirements.
  • Identifying opportunities for process optimisation and automation. Proposing enhancements to improve business efficiency and user experience.
  • Involvement in testing strategies, including writing test cases, conducting user acceptance testing (UAT), and validating solutions
  • Facilitating change management activities, including training and supporting end-users. Developing user manuals, training materials, and providing hands-on training.
  • Assisting in project planning, tracking, and reporting. Collaborating with project managers to ensure project timelines and deliverables are met.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Ability to translate business needs into functional requirements.

  • Proficient in engaging with stakeholders at various levels to gather requirements and manage expectations.

  • Effective communication to bridge the gap between business users and technical teams.

  • Expertise in conducting interviews, workshops, and surveys to gather business requirements. Capable of documenting detailed functional and non-functional requirements.

  • Highly developed interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to negotiate, consult, coordinate and deliver substantial business analysis and solution conceptualisation in a large, diverse and complex organisation.

  • Superior written communication skills with demonstrated ability to author comprehensive, clear, concise, and contractually robust documents for both business and technical audiences.
