Melbourne Heart Care is expanding and seeking an experienced and motivated Reception Team Leader to join our leadership team. As an industry leader in cardiac care, we're committed to providing exceptional service through teamwork, innovation, and operational excellence.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. As the Reception Team Leader, you will oversee and support the reception team across multiple sites, ensuring service consistency and a seamless patient journey.

In this pivotal role, you'll lead by example on the front desk, coach and mentor staff, coordinate rosters and training, and act as the go-to person for Medicare billing support. You'll play a vital part in uplifting the team performance, refining processes, and fostering a collaborative and supportive team culture.

Main Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Leading, coaching, and supporting reception staff across all sites.
  • Working alongside the team to deliver exceptional patient service.
  • Managing weekly rosters and ensuring fair, adequate site coverage.
  • Overseeing onboarding, training, and ongoing development of reception staff.
  • Developing and maintaining reception "how-to" guides and procedures.
  • Assisting with implementation of updated policies and process improvements.
  • Acting as the Medicare billing lead and supporting team members with queries.
  • Providing reception cover during staff absences or high-demand periods.
  • Completing and submitting weekly site reports and feedback.

Who you are:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a healthcare leadership or reception coordination role.
  • Strong knowledge of Medicare billing processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A collaborative, team-focused, and empathetic leadership style.
  • Strong organisational and time-management ability.
  • Confidence navigating change and improving processes.
  • Proficiency in clinical software.
  • Flexibility to rotate across multiple clinic locations as required.

Remuneration will be negotiated based on experience and skill set.
