About the Opportunity

As an Engineering Subcontract Coordinator at Austal Defence Australia, you will play a key role in supporting vessel design from initial concept through to final delivery. This position ensures projects are delivered on time and within budget by effectively managing and coordinating the engineering subcontractor network to meet project requirements.

What's Involved

  • Support the engineering team with Technical Planning capability to ensure timely resource support in accordance with project plans
  • Support the engineering team with Subcontracting capacity to ensure accurate products can be delivered
  • Delivery deadlines are met and engineering deliverables are not compromised or missed

You'll Need

  • 5+ years of experience in relevant design or planning discipline
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to prioritise conflicting demands
  • High level people skills to engage with employees
  • A good understanding of the design and production process with regards to shipbuilding
