Green Skills Inc is a registered environmental charity with offices based in Albany, Perth and Denmark WA. Green Skills Perth has an exciting opportunity to lead teams within the Environmental Services social enterprise. Working across parks and reserves in the metropolitan area, Ecojobs teams deliver environmental services including erosion control, revegetation, weed control, seedling planting, reserve maintenance, fire mitigation and tree watering. 

Green Skills Inc requires a skilled team leader available at minimum, 4 days per week up to 9 hours per day to motivate, train and lead high performing and safe environmental teams.

Key Duties

  • Supervise team members, ensuring that high work performance standards are maintained.
  • Manage the delivery of on-ground environmental projects.
  • Ensure workplace health and safety policies and procedures are understood and followed.
  • Maintain equipment and tools.
  • Complete all client and Green Skills reports, logs and checklists as required.
  • Induct and train staff in the use of small machinery and hazardous substances, as required.
  • Liaise with clients and ensure satisfactory outcomes.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Cert III (minimum) Conservation and Land/Ecosystem Management, Horticultural or environmental qualifications.
  • Pest Management Technician Licence or associated units of competency
  • LR (manual) or greater class driver's licence or willingness to obtain.
  • Experience in team leading / supervising and implementing on-the-ground environmental projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict management skills.
  • Excellent organisational, time management and administrative skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver quality work.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products
  • Good physical fitness.
  • Chainsaw ticket, or willingness to obtain
  • First aid certificate, or willingness to obtain
  • Traffic Management accreditation, or willingness to obtain
