Head of Finance | Sydney

Up to $150k + Super + Bonus

Full-time, in-office

We're on the lookout for a talented finance leader to join a fast-growing Australian-designed furniture and lifestyle brand that's expanding internationally. If you thrive on turning numbers into strategy, leading a small but impactful team, and influencing business decisions at the highest level, this could be your next move.

The Role

You'll report directly to the Founders and GM/CFO and take ownership of the company's finance function. From managing cash flow, P&L, and reporting, to improving systems and processes, your work will directly impact the business's growth and success.

You'll lead a small team of local and offshore finance professionals, helping them perform at their best while embedding strong financial processes and insights across the business.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee all financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Monitor cash flow, P&L, and balance sheet performance
  • Drive process improvements and ERP system optimisation (Microsoft Dynamics 365 / Business Central preferred)
  • Manage tax, BAS, insurance, and compliance requirements
  • Partner with leadership to turn financial insights into actionable business decisions
  • Mentor and support a small, high-performing finance team

Who You Are

  • CA or CPA qualified with 5+ years in a senior finance role
  • Experienced in financial reporting, forecasting, and managing a P&L
  • Confident with ERP systems and financial data analysis
  • Strong communicator who can influence and advise senior leadership
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing business
  • Experience in design, retail, FMCG, or manufacturing is a bonus
