Are you highly organised, detail-oriented, and committed to supporting LGBTIQ+ communities? We are looking for a passionate Family Violence Brokerage Administrator to play a key role in delivering vital financial support to those impacted by family and intimate partner violence. This is your opportunity to work with a leading community-controlled organisation, supporting programs that help individuals build safety, stability, and recovery.
About the Role
Working within the Finance – People & Corporate Services team, and supporting the work of our Therapeutic Services & Family Violence Programs, the Brokerage Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day administration of two essential programs:
- Flexible Support Packages (FSPs) – providing limited financial assistance to LGBTIQ+ victim-survivors of family violence to support safety and recovery.
- Family Violence Crisis Brokerage – offering emergency financial support to increase the safety and wellbeing of victim-survivors, and in some cases, people who have used violence.
The role will also:
• Administer the FSP and Crisis Brokerage programs, including procurement, budget tracking, and compliance.
• Liaise with internal and external case managers and services via phone and email.
• Maintain accurate financial records and prepare monthly and quarterly reports to funding bodies.
• Provide administrative support to the broader finance team as required.
While this is not a client-facing role, you'll work closely with case managers, internal teams, and external service providers to ensure timely and accurate processing of financial support.
About You
We're seeking someone who is:
- Experienced in finance or administration, particularly brokerage, purchasing, and budgeting.
- Proficient with Excel, Adobe Acrobat DC, and ideally SmartyGrants.
- Organised, with excellent time management and administrative skills.
- Skilled in communication and able to liaise respectfully across teams and services.
- Committed to working in a non-judgmental, inclusive manner with diverse communities, including LGBTIQ+ people and those affected by family violence.
What's on offer
In addition to a salary of SCHADS Level 3 (pro-rata) plus superannuation, Thorne Harbour also pays above award. You will receive 17.5% leave loading and an ability to increase your take-home pay by accessing up to $15,900 in salary packaging benefits. As well as generous personal leave, there is also the option to increase your annual leave entitlements through our purchased leave program as well as ongoing professional and career development.
