About the role

Courtney Dental is seeking an experienced Oral Health Therapist or Dental Hygienist to join our team in Townsville, Queensland. This full-time position is a key role in supporting our growing dental practice and delivering high-quality dental care to our patients.

Our 6-chair dental practice is fully accredited and equipped with modern technology, including an OPG/CBCT machine, digital x-rays as well as intraoral cameras. Having served the community for many years, we have a well-established patient base and a collaborative, supportive team.

What you'll be doing

  • Providing comprehensive oral health assessments, diagnoses and treatments for patients
  • Performing dental hygiene procedures including scaling, polishing and periodontal treatment
  • Educating patients on proper oral hygiene and preventative dental care
  • Collaborating with the dentist to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Maintaining detailed patient records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Assisting with the day-to-day operations of the dental practice

What we're looking for

  • Qualification as an Oral Health Therapist or Dental Hygienist
  • Registered with the Dental Board of Australia
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality dental hygiene practices
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary dental team
