As Senior Account Manager, you will play a lead role in delivering our Media Campaigns with strategic ambition across Murmur's clients. You will lead the creation of market leading ideas for our clients. 

You will be highly competent in digital and traditional media channels, along with the data and technology requirements to deliver market leading work. 

You will be able to think strategically to solve client problems, and also manage the details and dates of project management.

Key Competencies

  • Understand all the possible ways media can be bought, used, and reported on
  • Strategically leverage media channels and campaign assets to deliver results for Client campaigns
  • The ability to build out media plans, forecast and project various outcomes
  • Understand how media in various channels and funnel stages can affect each other
  • Ability to network and build strong commercial relationships
  • Manage commercial & contractual negotiations on behalf of the Agency
  • In-depth market knowledge of trends, publisher assets, benchmark rates and buying metrics

Responsibilities

Key Deliverables

1.Media Strategy

Deliver exceptional media & communications strategy

  • Build strategic responses for client briefs and collaborate with the client team to deliver this
  • Use various research sources and tools to deliver a point of view around a client's business/category, culture and consumer
  • Grow your experience in other strategic areas including thought leadership and new business
  • Derive insights and build audience insights by compiling, analysing and interpreting information
  • Produce key strategic outcomes from data diagnosis
  • Utilise tools and systems to identify, extract, and act on consumer insights and trends relating to our industry
  • Leadership attributes required to enhance client relationships, create efficiencies for the department's operation, drive profitability, and serve as the technical authority for the stream.
  • Play a key role in strategic development and client workshops

Measurements

  • Reaching client campaign objectives
  • Improvement in client satisfaction survey results
  • Evidence of integration with other teams/units/agencies/third parties
  • Enter campaigns into media awards and be shortlisted for at least one
  • Attendance at strategy/innovation training courses

2.Media Planning

Originate and deliver Communication Ideas and Plans

  • Understand all the possible ways media can be bought and reported on
  • ROI Modelling & Forecasting with the ability to build out media plans, forecast and project various client outcomes
  • Build & leverage commercial relationships to provide additional value and bonus media on behalf of clients
  • Understand how media in various channels and funnel stages can affect each other
  • Ensure in-depth assessment of all communication options, using media research tools, delivers innovative insights
  • Collaborate with and share information with all stakeholders, including external agency partners
  • Manage the process and ways of working with client and agency partners
  • Solve difficult problems and challenges

Management of campaigns

  • Using discovered insights to recommend communication initiatives
  • Ensure the reporting of competitive, consumer and market data delivers innovation insights
  • Present detailed communications plans to clients

Measurements

  • Providing additional value and add-ons for client spends
  • Accurate Budget weighting, flighting and channel analysis

3.Media Buying

Commercial

  • Understand the drivers of key commercial arrangements with clients, Murmur, and third parties.
  • Provide budgeted forecasts for platforms and channel spending for campaigns.
  • Promote additional services and channels for client consideration.
  • Ensure account queries are rare and that any are resolved quickly and with supporting documentation.
  • Securing media at rates attractive to the client.
  • Staying ahead of the curve in terms of new assets and technologies, offerings and advertising strategies.

Measures

  • Ensure internal and external media /campaign queries are resolved quickly and with supporting documentation or rationale.
  • Delivery on the teams financial and campaign targets (as set out in your Media Plans)

4.Personal Growth

Invest 10% of time to personal development
