About the Role
We're looking for a creative, agile, and strategically minded Social Media Creator & Videographer/Photographer to take charge of content production across 23 gym locations and 4 distinct brand divisions. This mid-level in-house role is ideal for someone with strong content chops who also knows how to focus their energy on the highest-value opportunities.
You'll bring the brand to life through engaging video, photography, and social storytelling across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and more. From working with personal trainers, members, and staff to supporting major partnerships like the NRL Titans, you'll play a key role in elevating our social presence and building brand impact — both organically and through paid channels.
This role involves travel, close collaboration with gym teams and marketers, and the ability to manage competing priorities with strategic clarity. If you're hands-on with a camera, love telling stories through content, and know how to create what performs, this role is for you.
What You'll Do
- Content Creation & Production
- Plan, shoot, and edit high-performing short-form video and photography for Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook (Reels, Stories, in-feed, etc.) — not afraid to get behind the camera yourself
- Travel regularly to gym locations to capture content with trainers, members, and staff
- Support videography and photography of gyms, people, and spaces for wider marketing use (website, digital, signage, campaign collateral)
- Create assets designed for both organic social and paid advertising, collaborating with the paid media team
- Maintain consistent quality and tone across all content, tailored to 4 distinct brand divisions
- Manage scheduling and publishing using tools like Sked to ensure timely and effective content distribution
Social Media Strategy & Execution
- Execute content strategies that drive engagement, brand awareness, and follower growth
- Contribute to a content calendar in alignment with campaigns, launches, and activations
- Stay current with platform trends and fitness culture to keep the brand relevant and innovative
- Activate and amplify major brand partnerships (e.g., Gold Coast Titans) with co-branded, community-driven content
- Exercise strategic judgment to prioritise high-impact initiatives — you'll know when to say no to content that doesn't move the needle
- Support paid content ideation and iteration with the digital team to drive performance
Analytics & Reporting
- Track performance using Instagram Insights, TikTok Analytics, Meta Business Suite, etc.
- Prepare monthly reports with insights, trends, and recommendations
- Use data to continuously improve content quality, strategy, and engagement
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Work closely with gym managers, trainers, marketing, and creative teams to align content with business goals
- Coordinate with brand partners and external creatives when needed
- Manage the logistics of shoots across locations: scheduling, approvals, and content planning
- Collaborate with individual club teams to increase their buy-in and understanding of organic social media — helping them elevate their content, align with brand direction, and build stronger local engagement
- Provide guidance, templates, and best practices to support local club teams in creating better-performing content that complements national campaigns
What You'll Bring
- 2–5 years of experience in content creation, videography, photography, or social media (preferably in-house or in fitness/lifestyle)
- Strong portfolio of video and photo work across TikTok, Instagram, or similar platforms
- Proficient in editing tools such as CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Lightroom, and Canva
- Experience producing content for both organic and paid channels
- Deep understanding of platform best practices, trends, and visual storytelling
- Comfortable capturing and directing talent (trainers, members, staff) in fast-paced environments — not afraid to get behind the camera yourself
- Experience using social scheduling tools, ideally Sked or similar platforms
- Strong communication and organisational skills — you can manage multiple locations and brand needs efficiently
- Strategic discernment — you know how to focus on what delivers the most value and when to say no
- Ability to influence and support local teams — you're a people person who can educate and inspire gym staff to create stronger content while keeping it fun and on-brand
- Willingness to travel regularly and adapt to flexible shoot schedules
Bonus Points For
- Experience building brand social content from the ground up
- Familiarity with Meta Ads Manager or performance marketing principles
- Drone, gimbal, or advanced video gear skills
- Experience working with influencers or UGC campaigns
To apply: Please send us your resume, portfolio or content samples (social handles, Reels, or campaigns you've worked on) and a short note on why you're a great fit for this role
