Role description/Main duties:

  • Performs the role of Computer Network & System engineer for Citrix XenApp, Citrix Xendesktop, Citrix provisioning services, Windows server 2003/2008/2012/2016/2019, Microsoft App-V, Hyper-V, Appsense and VMware Infrastructure.
  • Plan, design and implement various network monitoring tools like PRTG, Solarwinds & Netflow etc. and integrate network Infrastructure components/devices with them
  • Lead a group of architects, provide them direction & help with implementing an Azure cloud architecture solution, and oversee issues such as migration
  • Architecting and designing solutions that meet the functional and non-functional requirements
  • Regularly improve processes ensuring that high-quality information is delivered, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the AZURE architecture
  • Set and implement user access controls and identity and access management systems
  • Monitor network and application performance to identify and irregular activity
  • Perform regular audits to ensure security practices are compliant
  • Deploy endpoint detection and prevention tools to thwart malicious hacks
  • Set up patch management systems to update applications automatically
  • Implement comprehensive vulnerability management systems across all assets on-premises and in the cloud
  • Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure (VMs, networking, storage).

    • Familiarity with Azure Portal, CLI, PowerShell.
    • Understanding of security, compliance, and governance policies.
    • Problem-solving and troubleshooting expertise.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for handling Customers' Citrix and VMware environment which consists of 1000+ virtual desktops, 750+ virtual applications (XenApp6.5/Presentation Server 4.5, XenDesktop7.16, VMware vSphere 6.5/6.7/7.0) and 120 + Windows servers (Windows 2003 /2008/2012/2016/2019,2025).
  • Responsible to plan, develop, configure/implement, test, monitor & support complex network solutions, both wired & wireless and integrate with various network, server infrastructure components
  • Responsible for System Administration & support of IT infrastructure.
  • Cost Management
  • Track usage and spending with Azure Cost Management tools.
  • Recommend optimizations to reduce unnecessary expenses.
  • Troubleshoot outages, performance bottlenecks, and configuration errors.
  • Backup & Disaster Recovery
  • Implement backup policies, disaster recovery solutions, and replication strategies.
  • Ensure business continuity during failures or cyberattacks.
