The Opportunity

We're looking for a Senior Property Portfolio Manager to help shape the future of DIT's property assets, with a focus on industrial land and buildings. In this role, you'll prepare, review and implement strategic management plans, oversee asset and lifecycle planning, and support infrastructure replacement. You'll also work to improve systems and processes, ensuring compliance and driving continual improvement. Building strong relationships with stakeholders will be key to creating a customer-focused environment and supporting the development of effective policies and strategies within the Property Directorate.

About You

You're an experienced property professional who knows how to manage complex portfolios and deliver great results. You're confident developing and improving systems, policies and services, and you enjoy leading and motivating others to do their best work. You're comfortable taking the initiative, handling big projects, and working with a wide range of stakeholders. You bring a practical, solutions-focused approach, with a clear understanding of the risks, trends and commercial factors that shape the property sector.

Special Conditions

• A National Police Check (NPC) is required prior to employment in the Department for Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every three years.
• Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may be required.

Qualifications/Experience

• A current drivers' license is essential.
• Previous experience in commercial asset management, conveyancing, valuation, commercial leasing, development, planning and property disposal is highly regarded.
