Role Overview
This is a non-paying position until product market fit is found. Equity will be shared with the chosen applicant.
We're seeking a driven co-founder to join our founding team and lead Swap Box's expansion into the fashion vertical. As co-founder, you will be instrumental in shaping our product, community, and partnerships. You will work side-by-side with the current founder to build a scalable platform that meets the unique demands of fashion consumers, blending sustainability, logistics, and delightful user experiences. Key Responsibilities
Fashion-Focused Strategy – Develop and execute Swap Box's plan to engage fashion-conscious users with seamless swaps of clothes, shoes, and accessories.
Customer Centric UX Leadership – Lead the design of user flows that make complex swapping (chains, escrow, Wishlist's) feel as easy as traditional e-commerce.
Community Growth – Build and nurture a vibrant community of swappers, especially interested in sustainable fashion.
Partnerships – Secure collaborations with second hand boutiques, fashion influencers, and logistics providers.
Operations & Logistics – Oversee delivery workflows, reusable packaging systems, and cost optimisation for fashion items.
Trust Systems – Co-create processes for photo verification, ID checks, escrow, and dispute resolution that establish Swap Box as a high-trust platform.
Data-Driven Decisions – Analyse user behavior to improve match velocity, reduce stagnant inventory, and optimise our fashion-focused swap ecosystem.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in fashion, resale, e-commerce, community building, or marketplaces.
- Strong product or UX skills: you can map user needs into actionable, testable designs.
- Comfort working with low-code/no-code platforms (e.g., ) or managing product development sprints.
- Excellent communication and partnership skills, especially with fashion retailers or influencers.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to operate in fast-changing, resource-constrained environments.
- Alignment with circular economy and sustainability principles — you care deeply about reducing fashion waste.
Nice to have:
- Experience designing or operating escrow, trust, or verification systems.
- Logistics or last-mile delivery knowledge specific to consumer goods.
- Background in early-stage startup leadership or co-founding roles.
