We are seeking a motivated HR & Payroll Administrator to join our People & Culture team. This diverse role is perfect for someone who thrives on accuracy in payroll while also enjoying the people focused side of HR - from supporting employees to helping coordinate social events and engagement initiatives.
About the Role
As the HR & Payroll Administrator, you will play an important role in ensuring payroll is accurate and compliant, while providing wider administrative and HR support across the business. You'll also have the chance to get involved in staff engagement activities, making this a well rounded role for someone looking to combine technical payroll expertise with hands on HR support
Key Responsibilities
- Provide payroll support including data entry, reconciliations, payroll tax, and acting as backup during leave or high workload periods.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee payroll and HR records.
- Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring compliance with company procedures and legislation.
- Prepare and coordinate correspondence, reports, meetings, and training sessions for the People & Culture team.
- Manage and respond to employee payroll and HR queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Support the organisation and promotion of social club activities and employee engagement events, including posters, communications, and event logistics.
- Contribute to HR reporting, audits, and compliance requirements.
- Provide general administrative support including purchase orders, requisitions, and other clerical duties.
Skills & Experience
- Previous payroll experience (3+ years desirable).
- Strong knowledge of payroll statutory compliance and payroll tax.
- Experience with employee onboarding and offboarding (desirable).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in data management, record keeping, and MS Office applications.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
