As we continue to grow our global footprint, we're seeking an experienced Group Procurement Manager to lead our strategic sourcing and supplier partnerships across our international operations.
About the Role
Reporting to the Executive General Manager – Operations, you'll be a highly people centric leader, managing a team responsible for all raw material and strategic supplier activities across the Group of companies — from category strategy and supplier relationship management to cost optimisation and sustainability alignment.
Your strategic and commercial acumen will underpin the delivery of compliance and procurement excellence across our manufacturing sites and supplier network, ensuring we balance innovation, quality, and value in every sourcing decision.
You will manage $300+ million in raw material for the companies within the group.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Group-wide procurement strategies across multiple categories and geographies with a truly global network.
- Drive continuous improvement in supplier performance, quality, and sustainability outcomes.
- Lead commercial negotiations, contract management, and risk mitigation for key supplier relationships.
- Collaborate with operations, quality, and finance to deliver cost, efficiency, and compliance targets.
- Manage and mentor a team of procurement professionals, fostering collaboration and capability growth.
- Champion sustainable sourcing practices and support the Detmold's ESG objectives.
- Support bids and manage New Product Introductions (NPI's)
About You
You're an accomplished procurement leader with a track record of strategic sourcing success in manufacturing, FMCG, or industrial environments. You combine analytical strength with a partnership mindset and have the ability to influence at senior levels. You thrive on being challenged and driving outcomes through collaboration and people centric leadership in a fast paced environment.
To be successful, you'll bring:
- Proven experience in leading procurement teams in complex, multi-site organisations.
- Strong commercial negotiation, supplier development, and contract management expertise.
- Deep understanding of global supply chains and raw material sourcing strategies.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering.
