Are you a passionate, caring, and motivated psychologist looking to make a real difference in your community? The Shire Psychology is a well-established private practice dedicated to providing high-quality mental health care and assessment services for children, adolescents, and adults.

We are seeking General and/or Endorsed Psychologists (Clinical, Education & Developmental, Neuropsychology, etc) to join our warm, collaborative, and supportive team. Opportunities at both our Sunbury and Keilor locations are available. We have both employed and contracting opportunities available, depending on hours and preferences.

The Opportunity

You will be joining a welcoming team of clinicians, including Clinical Psychologists, General Psychologists, and Provisional Psychologists — all passionate about client care, teamwork, and professional growth. We are ideally looking for a candidate who will be able to start in January or February 2026 (open to negotiation).

In this role, you will:

  • Provide face-to-face and telehealth psychological interventions using evidence-based modalities (CBT, ACT, DBT, etc.)
  • Work with clients across the lifespan — from children to adults
  • Conduct a range of assessments, including cognitive, educational, behavioural, autism, and ADHD assessments
  • Engage with clients and third-party organisations (e.g., WorkCover, DVA, NDIS)
  • Prepare reports and participate in case consultations
  • Access continued development opportunities and upskilling in various areas if interested (e.g., upskilling in autism and/or ADHD assessments)

About You

To thrive in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology with General or Endorsed registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • A genuine interest in evidence-based practice and lifelong learning
  • Experience in engaging with clients therapeutically
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Required compliance items: AHPRA registration, indemnity insurance, WWCC, and police check
