About Our Client:

Our client, based just 6.5 km north-east of Darwin, is currently seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to join their team. This is an ongoing position with the potential to transition into a permanent opportunity.

About the Role:

As the Construction Superintendent, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of structural works on-site. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited too:

  • Daily planning, coordination, and supervision of subcontractors
  • Overseeing structural work fronts, safety controls, and exclusion zones
  • Preparing for and coordinating concrete pours and inspections
  • Supporting two-week lookahead planning and reporting constraints early
  • Maintaining well-organised, tidy, and controlled work areas
  • Working closely with the QC and Safety teams to uphold project standards

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • A strong background in formwork, reinforcement, concrete pours, columns, slabs, beams, and structural steel interfaces
  • Proven ability to manage daily work fronts and coordinate multiple subcontractors
  • Excellent sequencing and scheduling awareness to maintain pour programs
  • Prior experience on defence, aviation, or secure sites (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong field-based leadership – proactive, organised, and present on-site
  • A calm and professional demeanour under pressure
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to escalate issues early
  • A team-first attitude with a strong safety focus
