Master Builders Victoria (MBV) represents over 6,000 members within the building construction industry across Victoria, including large and small builders across the domestic and commercial sectors, as well as apprentices, suppliers, and manufacturers. Key Position Tasks:
We're looking for a dedicated Employment and Industrial Relations Advisor to join our collaborative and close knit team. This is a hands-on role that is predominately responsible for providing practical and accurate advice by phone and email to Master Builders Victoria members on various employment and industrial relations matters including but not limited to:
- Providing advice on wages and entitlements, right of entry, freedom of association and other statutory workplace obligations and rights,
- Providing timely and practical advice about terminations, performance management, redundancies etc.,
- Assisting members to draft, negotiate and lodge enterprise agreements
- Interpreting Awards, Enterprise Agreements and Contracts of Employment,
- Develop and maintain resources for member, including products, guides and templates
Key Skills, Attributes and Experience:
- Tertiary qualification in Industrial Relations, Human Resources or Law
- Familiarity with employments laws in the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth)
- 2-3 years of experiences working in Industrial Relation
